Anyway lets sum up the game,

The ground is a dump.

The stewards are crap.

The "safety officer" is a cowardly sneak.

The officials were even more crap than the stewards.

Apart from that werent a bad day out.

The sun shone.

The kids liked the ferry.

The bus driver made the fair up, it was a pound dearer from the ground to the station than it was from the station to the ground.

Englands garden you are having a laugh, a shopping centre surrounded by industry surrounded by slums.

The first goal should have been dissallowed.

If it wasn't for the safety officer then your supporters would have left the ground quicker than they did - courtesy of an ambulance. You should be offering your thanks.

You are havin a laugh if him or the stewards were doing their job properly

One they would have segrogated properly and the incident would not of happened.

Two he would have thrown all of the culprits out but he was scared of the bald geezer who kept givin it and walking away.

Your stewards were saying they were going over to talk to them as soon as they got somone to relieve them all through the game people were saying go on then when are you going to do it but guess what it never happened.

The problem is people remember things like this and if your stewards had done things properly, there would not be a developing animosity that will probably liven up future fixtures.

Ah, now this is more like the old banter.

In reference to the above: pots, kettles, black. Glasshouses. Stones. Don't throw. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I work for the civil service and as far as I know you are allowed to use these sites as long as it's done in your own time (lunch time, before or after work).

Accessing hotmail accounts or going on chat sites like MSN is a different story!!

That will be when you get promotion back up from the conference south then.

What would you have liked to have seen eh?

Police draw batons and charge the home supporters?

A surveillance helicopter monitoring the local area for rivals firms?

Mounted police patrolling outside the stadium?

“Section 60’s” in force within a mile radius of Stonebridge Road?

How about the local press running a ‘name and shame’ campaign in this weeks Gravesend Reporter?

How about a BBC mini serious into how the police together with Donal Macintyre infiltrated GNFC’s notorious hooligan following?

Why don’t you right to the local MP and campaign or start a campaign refusing to pay your council tax?

Let’s get this right…nothing happened. Go out in Gravesend town centre on a Friday and Saturday night and you’ll see far more anti-social behaviour and violence in half an hour than in all our games this season. I counted more police in the stadium on Saturday afternoon than I’ve ever seen in the town centre on a Saturday night but there’s never any trouble in the ground. Let’s put this to be, because any further debate will ruin the good reputations of both clubs and supporters.

Our ground is better than yours

We have a megastore.

We are close to major holiday resort not that big grey thing.

We have our own Island.

We can watch the ships sailing by.

We can stand any where we like.

We invested in 11 scaffold tubes so when we do want to segregate we can do it properly.

In fact the only decent thing about your whole town was the ferry home and the pork and stuffing role.

Elderly william

I would have liked to have been treated with a bit of respect.

OK I can accept the problem was a minority of oiks, but your stewards were not even handed.

When you go away you are in the hands of the home club and if their stewards do not instill confidence then that tends to encourage people to take the law into their own hands.

The Police were not needed, what should have happened was what your stewards were advised to do, treat all fans the same and move the home fans away from behind the goal.

Heh heh heh. The ground situation is a matter of opinion. But let's face it, they're both a bit crap, ours maybe in a state of disrepair but has more character.

We can watch ships too. On that big grey murky river thing in between us.

I'd have to take issue at 'major' holiday resort. Resort for chavs, maybe. Admittedly, it's many of our chavs that might go there on holiday.

We have our own island too, Rat Island at the other end of Gravesend. Much the same as your island.

Isn't this tit-for-tat oneupmanship all a but pointless anyway, MOB? Let's face it, we're both lower mid-table Conference teams with dodgy grounds, in a naff part of the south-east, you've got a megastore, and we've got 500 more fans.

30-15 to me. Your serve...

The difference between a glass half empty and a glass half full Stu our ground is developing and yours is falling down.

Our stewards control the fans, your fans control the stewards.

We can see ships from inside the ground, you can see a monstrosity.

Our chavs wear real Burberry your chavs buy snide from the market.

Other teams in essex live in our shadow, you aspire to be Gillingham.

We have got Essex girls.

The one thing you have got better than us when you look across the thames you see us, we have to suffer looking at your dump.

You are obviously not in my Department then Yellow. Miserable Senior Officers always moaning about the time we spend on the net. (about 5 mins a day to check e-mail and forum news)

Work for DWP. Is getting like that. Somebody got sacked for browsing the internet too much and even if you go on for a minute during your work hours they don't particularly like it. I tend to go on if I have five minutes spare and I'm not too busy.

I've got something of a siege mentality at the moment. I don't particularly like my job and will be changing it soon so I'm not too bothered if someone has a go at me about it!!

Anon I waited to the end of the game posed for the copper with the camera outside and waited 20 minutes for a bus outside the ground, I was wearing a big yellow hat with Canvey written on it, I did not melt.

What's difference do stadiums matter anorak. I’d choose an older ground with terracing and low roofs and a bit of character over a soulless modern ground any day of the week.

Certainly don’t aspire to be Gillingham they’re Medway town gypo’s.

Burberry is for pikey’s real or not. Only people who seem to wear Burberry are Cherie Blair, Danielle Westbrook or that gobby ex smack head who presents big brother. If you’d have got close enough to the home supporters you’d have seen a few of them at least were wearing the labels that you Essex pikeys will be wearing in five years.

[****!!****] off Canvey!
