Great win today after tuesdays dibacle. Great to get the first goal so early on. Also what was nice to see is Drury put his fingers to his lips in a be quiet gesture.

 

Thought we played well in patches but had the oposition been better we could have got thrashed. Canvey had a lot of posession but couldn't turned them into chances.

 

Thought Roy played quite well today as well, I think maybe we have been playing him in the wrong position just because of his hight. He should be played just behind the front man and can pick up any balls that drop his way and can distribute to the midfield.

 

Anyway Bunce for man of the match? No I thought it should have been Drury but was pleased with how all the team played.

 

All in all I thought it was a fair result, come on Canvey you were nevere going to win - I had my scarf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shame about the bloke in the crowd pouncing on Drury every time he made a mistake in the second half...

 

New bloke Anselin didn't really have much to do, but if he's played in a UEFA Cup Final he can't be too bad. I hope to see more of him.

 

I thought Skinner should've been man of the match. He was quite solid, won a penalty, scored a penalty and set up Bunce's goal.

 

What was happening behind the goal between the fans? What was being said and was it that bald Fleet fan who started it? (I was far, far away...)

What was being said at half-time by the stewards?

Drury was my MoM.

Looked dangerous on the ball, scored a cracking goal (great vision from Sigere to create the chance) & ran his socks off.

 

Thought Canvey were very poor & 3-2 flattered them.

Great goal for them at the death with the free kick.

 

Still think Canvey will go down, with Northwich & Forest Green both surviving.

We were poor today but don't think we'll go down. Basically if it wasn't for the fact that Northwich, Forest Green etc were so crap we would long be relegated by now. Anyway well done.

I think Boylan will keep Canvey up, but if he gets injured they could be in trouble.

If they survive, and I hope they do, next season will be 'King hard as the league will be tougher and every team they play will know that Boylan is the only worry.

Obviously, had Boylan not been out for so long earlier in the year, Canvey would be higher up the table. However, his injury was not bad luck, but bad planning, since Canvey have no replacements for the great man.
