what about White Ensign

According to my sources 2 of White ensigns commitee members dont want to step up to the esl next season, also the club would have to do quite a bit of work to get the relevant ground grading requirements, also as white ensign use a ground which is the Southend Borough combinations main pitch they would have to get permission to use those facilities from all the member clubs of the borough combination, each club would get 1 vote on as to whether they will let white ensign use those facilities in the esl, personally speaking i think white ensign would be a good addition to the esl next season.

Compo ,

I believe that Tilbury have applied for Ryman Division 2 should they go down and i also think that we (GWR) have applied for the esl should we go down , but hopefully we will stay up in the southern league . we have 2 hard games on good friday and easter monday and i think we can get 4 points out of 6 to give us some real hope going into our last 6 games . We have a friendly with our mates at southend manor tomorrow night , should be an interesting game !!

well all i know is that if (and that is a big if !)we were to go down we could conceivably fall into one of three leagues , Ryman 2 , ESL or Ridgeons eastern counties and we would need to apply in the same way that a team applys to be promoted so long as their ground meets the required league grading . Obviously if Tilbury and GWR both applied for the esl and were both subsequently relegated (although touchwood that is not going to happen !) the esl would have to think of expanding the league etc etc . The permutations are very difficult to understand . All i do know is that you have to apply for a league otherwise you would have a Saffron Walden position where no league can accomodate you in time !

I am greedy, I want a club to be promoted and two back, plus a new one joining cos there's plenty of room in the old ESL with the F A looking for 20-22 clubs and we only have 15 at present. And, whilst I am on this bandwagon, all our clubs reserve teams in a seperate Reserve Division.. oh how we dream !

I did think that but apparently it is being kep afloat !! In my opinion the esl should be like the other leagues a 22/24 team division. That way you could get rid of all the useless cup competitions with group stages and have teams playing on boxing/new years day etc just like everyone else , then you would have more teams fighting it out at the top .

Mr happy i will print that off and frame it , ha ha ha !!!

Seriously though ,who the hell enjoys playing a 3 team group stage and then knock out rounds , there are so many "dead rubbers" its untrue , plus if you have teams playing boxing day , new years day , good friday and easter monday(as we are this week) you wil get many more fans turn out for games which only boosts the coffers a bit more .

One last thing is to say get rid of hullbridge !! as Bealey said on saturday "they have won 2 league games since i left and i left 3 years ago !!!"

With the permission of the Essex Intermediate League and at the request of White Ensign FC I have been able to make an initial inspection of their facilities, but the matter is now in the court of the club who have to apply officially to the ESL , with copy to their own league in order that a full "inspection " may be made by the Officers of the ESL. Sorry, but any other comment has to be pure speculation at present.

The southend borough combination HQ where ensigns ground is dont want ensign in the senior league as they will have to make improvements

also there is a rumour going about that only one side will come down from the southern league east division this year , not confirmed by any stretch of the imagination but something i have literally just heard on the grapevine

I have never waivered from giving people every chance to move on and upwards in this great game of ours but such news is, indeed, sad, and we all hope, I am sure, will be overcome in the fullness of time. We do our best !
