Exactly, MMIM explained why he made his choice but lovely stuff gets all arguementative. Calm down fella.

Bealey, i would have included Barnett when he was at his peak whe he hit 45 odd goals in that one season, he was unreal.

Id add in Danny Clarke, from Enfield Town, the fella was sharp and knew where the goal was!

Alan Brazil at Stambridge, David Wale's direct free kicks for Canvey, Neville Fox, Julian Lamb and Jimmy Holder at Heybridge Swifts, Tony Liddle at Sawbridgeworth, Tony Mercer at Stansted and Canvey, agree about Clarke and Barnett, Paul Flack at Southend Manor and Great Wakering, " Plank" at Ford and Romford, Keith Pullen at Hullbridge, David Hope at Bowers United, George Measures at Stambridge, Frank Heritage at Basildon, Jeff Wood at Ford United and Leyton, John Ridgwell at Coggeshall Town , Dave Stittle at Brentwood, Reg Curtis at Eton Manor, Steve Portway at Burnham Ramblers and others, Stevie Knott at Concord Rangers are just a miniscule few of the great names that have graced the Essex Senior League and I have personally enjoyed watching over the past 22 years .. and before anyone tempts to ask my all-time favourite, I think the club already know.. it is Tony Liddle firing on all cylinders down the incline at Sawbridgeworth Town , and the best individual one off displays in his short ESL career was Alan Brazil at Stambridge.

That's the one thing we agree on.Heale is definatly the best player i've seen play against us in the four years i've been watching the ESL.

Now you have really started something because I am gutted at missing out "Heale" and respect BOTH Danny and his Dad , Billy of Basildon and Canvey. Beside Scott Forbes, there was Stuart Wardle at Saffron Walden Town who I understand is back at the club. Anyone at GWR will no doubt reminisce about those runs from one end of the pitch to the other by John Heffer, inch perfect pass into the centre, dummy by Flacky and into the net by Hampshire - magic !

John Heffer is an absolute legend and holds the GWR appearance record at 460 and counting . He is still one of the most consistent players at the club and his gazelle like runs are world famous !!!

Clarky hasn't played for us this season. He left after we didn't make the move into Ryman 2. Also, when he came back last season he was rubbish and wound up ogher players in the squad.

That romour of him coming back this season; im glad nothing ever came of it.
If Danny had come back there would have been a big fuss. Lots of supporters wouldnt have been happy, and left because of him. and when asked some of the players what they thought of Danny they werent exactly polite..
i dont think he's even that great. there are other players that are better and every body likes or doesnt have a problem with.

I suppose it was inevitable that Saturday should throw up another one that I apologise for missing out - The legend that is Tony Mercer . Also, met up with a famous name from the past at Rush Green Arena and still playing Saturday football - Tommy Scawthorne !

Kristian moans too much for me. Loved it when he went back to Burnham from Basildon for an extra tenner and next game Rolfy smashed him in a tackle!

Anyway Burnham can i ask, do you know Chip Brandon who plays for your reserves??? The lad is a good player and surely could do a job in your first team!
