The Arsenal of the Conference?

Recommended Posts

If we are truly to be the Arsenal of the Conference surely while the stand is closed we should have a giant mural across the Plough end.

Of course when Arsenal had their mural they got into all sorts of trouble with the politically correct brigade for not including any black faces so to avoid similar problems I suggest that our mural should have half the fans cheering the Fleet on and the other half sticking their fingers up and hurling abuse at our players.

When we kept getting drawn at home in the Trophy I suspected something Arsenal was going on, this proves it.

Expect us to have strange rapid injury recoveries, along being arrogent and calling other teams "success buyers" when we moved out of our stadium 100 years ago because "Woolwich wasn't good enough," and also when we move into our new stadium we'll sell the name to Emirates and tell people that isn't buying success.

Midfielder..?? Wasn't aware that's where we needed strengthening...! Sure LD has his very valid reasons?... Sounds like a good addition I guess..?!?

I suspect Saunders in defence for most of what's left of the season???

Then look for defenders... if our existing defenders are so injury prone, get some new ones..!! Our midfield is strong enough, with good support for our front men and good 'middle the park' cover for our defence.. Not sure where his thinking is going, but I'm sure there's a good reason..?!

Why???????????

I assume that McCarthy will be fit by the time we play FGR and possibly Porter as well.

On the other hand, we could well be a tad light in midfield tomorrow (and Friday?)

I thought that buying success was getting a foreign millionaire with no connection to the club whatsoever and having him spend over £100m on players

Buying success is spending money in order to get success. You have to spend the dosh to get what you want. Every knows this and everyone would be doing this if they were in our position. I just can't stand The Arsenal harping on about how bad we are when all they do is the very same thing.

Of course you have to spend money, but the difference is that Arsenal are not becoming the Hornchurch of the Premiership and are not dependant upon the whim of a single individual.

Their cash is coming either from sponsorship or by normal commercial methods.
