Crawley snap up defender Gooding

Crawley boss Francis Vines has signed his second defender in a week with the capture of Scott Gooding.

The 23-year-old former Crystal Palace and Hornchurch player has signed in time for Saturday's trip to Hereford as Crawley push for a play-off place.

 

Meanwhile, defender Ryan Palmer has left Broadfield Stadium and returned to his former club Sutton United.

 

Palmer joined the Red Devils in July 2004 after an impressive pre-season and made 22 appearances, scoring one goal.
