Apologies to Jimmy & any of our supporters who were able to be calm & philosophical after Tuesday's match. I had video clips of both our goals, but when I got in I did 2 things: 1. I said I wouldn't be going on Saturday; it was meaningless; 2. I wiped the memory card in my camera. Ok, so I've changed my mind about Saturday, but there's not a lot I can do about Jimmy's goals. They're gone forever.

 

Never have I felt so utterly depressed after a game of football & it wasn't helped by a supposed long term supporter taking the p*ss out those of us who couldn't hide our frustration during extra time (& I DON'T mean by abusing our own players.) Yes I knew what you were doing, mate, though I didn't let on. Glad your girlfriend thought you were funny though.

 

However, BS did us a favour probably. Let's be honest, with the restrictions on the squad through cup tied players & others who are either carrying knocks or extremely injury prone, we were never going to win it. Imagine losing to Grays in the final with a depleted team. I'd have been on the 10 O'Clock News taking a dramatic leap off the Dartford Bridge.

Of course, we'd all rather still be in it, but you have to say over the two games we had an incredible number of things (rightly or wrongly) that hindered our chances of victory - that is, three red cards, two defenders off injured in the first match, and three further players going off injured in the second match (although with Porter it looked more a case of cramp... hopefully. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />)
