Its obvious why Liam Daish doesn't play Moussa, He has never seen Moussa have a good game.

We have all watched Moussa leave defenders for dead with his pace and score or set up chances for others but since last October Moussa has had few games and when he has got on he has not been given many chances to show his pace.

When Moose gets an opportunity in reserve games to show the manager what he can do he spends most of the game moaning and trying to start fights.

He'll be gone at the end of the season, along with a few more crowd "favourites". I can provide lifts to some if needed.

That's a pathetic comment. Your deserve to be supporting one of the many Kent clubs currently in the doldrums, then you'd really have something to moan about. I can't think of one player who doesn't given 100 percent for the club, and you come out with garbage like that. IMHO

Classic. If it wasn't so long I'd have it as my signature.

Yes, indeed. Howewer, Jimmy certainly has a point about club 'favourites': although he did put it rather bluntly the fact is that some players who are adulated by the fans (Tostao, Shears) aren't as good as those slagged off by the same fans (Abbey, Darren Smith).

When Moussa produced that performance against Stevenage, we were all raving and I thought we would lose him during the season - not to a lesser team, but to a League team.

Since that game, however, his moments of magic have generally been few and far between, and I honestly question if we can justify the luxury of keeping him for those few occasions. Some may argue that he doesnt have enough opportunities, but his main asset is his pace - all too often, he ends up falling over or wasting the ball.

I have been saying the same thing for a while Alan.

Also on the list I am starting to include:

Roy - no longer looks interested

Manny- scores goals, but too flimsy and injury prone.

Pinns - Links well from centre of midfield, where we already have Macca -, Jay, Ben, Jukebox and Jacko, + doesn't score half enough goals.

Ports - Fine defender , but simply too injury prone.

Whilst Moussa has looked out of sorts for a long time, could we really replace him with anyone better? I seem to remember all this with Tostao. Six months ago we'd of probably said that Moussa was a better version of Tostao, but is he?

Also, I'm getting bored of all the 'Moussaa Moussaa' chants now whenever he gets near the ball. I think we put too much pressure on him to perform. Make him prove himself to us again.

Yep, I'm looking forward to a recreation of the start of the 2003/2004 season when we started the season with one recognized striker, having lost Che, Wilkins and the Beast.

By all means make necessary changes (and I still can't agree with you on Manny), but make sure the replacements are there first, unlike last time.

I think this is a valid point. When any other player comes on as a substitute, it's just a case of the fans wanting them to provide a bit of extra pace or shore things up. When Moussa comes on, his style of play means everyone expects him to come on and work miracles, which is unrealistic. That said, I agree that he hasn't done enough to stay next year.

I think we will have to agree to disagree about Manny, JC. I still maintain the best forward lines are based on forming a regular partnership and learning an understanding.
For instance, would Portway scored 160 goals in 4 seasons without Cotter - of course not. Although Cotter only scored a few himself, he was integral to the partnership borne of an acute understanding of each others play, because they played together so regularly.
With Manny it will always be difficult as he rarely plays more than 3 games on the trot.
At least Liam does have time on his side (until August) to look at new faces.

I think moussa loves it when we chant his name rather than feel pressurised. He knows when he is on fire we love him. I know its a hell of a comparison but do you think ronaldhino feels pressured when 90 odd thousand gasp when he gets the ball in anticipation. scale down by about a thousand and you have the mousse running the halfway line at stonebridge road. he is an entertainer.

Hmm...following your logic whenever Moussa gets the ball 90 odd people gasp.

Have we got that many odd people?
