Are Slough Town Gypsies?

With the recent press coverage of Gypsies it made me wonder if we can call Slough Town gypsies.

The roam around the country side looking for a home, upset the local councils and cause a mess wherever they visit.

I guess you are a windsor fan seeing as you've justed posted this on our forum too.

We can hardly call people gypsies when some of our new found chav army are infact Pikies according to word on the street.

I for one hate gypsies. Social scavengers of the worst kind. And if they are infilltrating our beloved terraces then lets kick them and their burberry hats right out of town. They will only cause trouble in the long run.

Just had an idea.

Why don't Slough move into that field in Britwell, claim Human Rights laws as homeless travellers to keep them there, build a nice new stadium and then apply for retrospective planning permission.

Sounds a sure fire winner to me.

Nah, well off there Staines. First of all Rosie Lee can spell and secondly there is a hint of humour in there. These sort of [****!!****]-stirring posts are fine, its the libellous ones that'll be removed.

This is the same idiot that has registered as donkey.

I understand you've had your issues with the poster occasionally known as Donkey on your forum Mal. These posts as Rosie Lee are in good humour so I've not got any complaints at this stage. Besides, its probably better to be called gypsies than have to watch your football in Berkshire's answer to Baghdad - York Road

York Road can't really be associated with Bagdhad. Where in Bagdhad can you get covered parking? And I don't believe Bagdhad has it's own beach. Although I do agree we have a leaky defence like Baghdad.

But our days are numbered at York Rd with a new stadium in the pipeline.

This one's been going on for about ten years now. Is it actually moving any closer as yet? I appreciate the Magpies will not move until a new one is built (v. v. sensible idea, make sure it stays that way), but it has been quite a while since this was first doing the rounds, and never has anything official come out.

I believe, although no-one will officially say, Tesco are in the latter stages of buying York Road. Maidenhead Bowls club (next door) said in the Advertiser a little while back that they are selling out to tesco and that tesco were re-housing them as well. It is rumoured that the new ground will be in Stafferton Way, Maidenhead.

Stafferton Way is currently under consideable redevelopment with out of town shopping units being erected.

I think the move is still 2 or 3 years down the road.

The builders have got to finish Wembley first!

They've got three years to wait before their Wembley is built...I thought I was being generous...

Yup wembley next year Marchish i think as they have to have 2 'test' games before the FA Cup final to gain some sort of saftey certificate.

A schoolboys match and Under 21's if i am not mistaken. Would not be susprised if both sold out.
