Matty Seedal most improved player of season well taken goal and good build up play involving Dan Cann who had great chance near end.

Took a while for Seedal to get his first goal but can't stop now, Cann has started off in the same vain once he gets his first he will be of and running very impressed with him.

I thought we played very well in what was an excellent match. Our passing was excellent at times and both goals were brilliant. Shame about the odd defensive lapse. This tie is certainly not a done deal I thought Heybridge looked a decent outfit who have caused us problems throughout our matches so far this season. Bring on the second leg which should be a corker.

Just found this snippet from the Heybridge website..."Fair to say that we didn't perform as we know we can, Slough probably gave us the best they can, so we have every reason to feel confident about the second leg if we can play to our full potential"

I thought in spells that was some of the best football that we have played in a while - certainly since Eastleigh. Without naming names I thought our finishing was a little bit wayward and at the end when they were pushing for an equaliser I thought we were very unlucky not to add to our score.

Dan Cann certainly looks a real prospect. His pace and control will certainly trouble a few defences and when he gets used to this level of football I think we could see an avalanche of goals.

I was referring really to the final pass. Our approach play was great but if our final ball had been up to some games this season we'd have gone in at half time with the tie already won.

I thought you were the better side last night. At times in the first half your passing game was painfully good to watch and Swifts couldnt respond at all. We can pay better and our new manager will not be pleased with commitment which was lacking a little last night. Should be a good game next week.
