Today's Beatle-related listen is Wings' Red Rose Speedway.

 

I realise I haven't played this since 1993 when the entire Macca back catalague was re-released with the original albums now inclusing their corresponding b-sides - this volume has the C Moon/Hi Hi Hi single attached to the end!

 

Gazza is right that the opening two tracks are the highpoint of the album, but Single Pigeon (I think) was a welcome snippet of classic Macca melody mid-way through.

 

The 11-minute medley at the end is frankly poor. If he was trying to re-create the superb You Never Give Me Your Money/Golden Slumber/The End etc. masterpiece from Abbey Road, he failed miserably.
