FOR ZEALSTER....

Recommended Posts

Finally got round to re visiting the Concert To Bangladesh CD only to find that over the years CD 2 has bloody degraded and doesn't play on my CD player and skips on "Here Comes The Sun" (possibly the best ever version) on my DVD player...Fcking £40 Jap import wasted!!!

Ah well...down loaded the damn thing last night and burned a copy this morning...Have to say, it's better than I remembered...but still doesn't top Live At Leeds...

Oh and I played "Somewhere" over the weekend and that sounds better than I remember...Do ya a copy if ya want...

Cheers, but bought a copy of Amazon for about £7 - haven't got round to hearing it yet, mind.

Yeah, top album 'Bangladesh', though I haven't had the pleasure of

listening to Live In Leeds. Never been a major Who fan.

Having just completed Lennon solo, and with Macca solo having been completed for a number of years, I'm now working on the Harrison solo stuff.

Trying to decide which album to get next - thinking one of the earlier ones like Dark Horse or Material World.

I have All Things Must Pass, Bangladesh, 33 and a third, George Harrison (1979), Brainwashed and the Best Of's.. already.

Any suggestions??

Only just mind you !

Actually, in the Times yesterday there was a big thing about Cold Play trying to become big in America to keep EMI happy.

It listed loads of UK bands / artists that have tried and failed such as Robbie Williams, Oasis etc. It then went on to list two that had succeeded in being massive over there. Depeche Mode and Bush.

Did Duran ever make it big across the pond ?

There's a pretty crap CD section in Morrison's - just the Top 40 albums and a budget range (best of Meatloaf, best of Hot Chocolate, best of Jim Reeves - you know the type!)

Anyway, I was in there at lunchtime and in their budget range for £5.99 was Live In Leeds by The Who. Didn't have any cash on me at the time, but I'll raid the petty cash this afternoon and pick it up on my way home, I reckon!!
