I selfish comment I know............

Although I obviously want Fleet to beat Bishop Stortford tonight it will mean the Conference away game at York is postponed.

Like I say, it's selfish but that could conspire against me seeing Fleet play up t'North once again!

Do you think they'll change the semi-final date if I write to the competition organisers with a 'sweet' letter?

Regards to all

Come ooooooooon You Reeeeeeeeeds!

You think you have problems? On our final day of the season C****** play a local derby against Fulham. It's on April the 23, St Georges day. On this day 50 years ago C****** beat Sheffield Wednesday 3-0 to lift the title. I have worked out that if C****** win all their games then this will be the game we lift the title again.

One thing that works in my favour is that the Fleet don't kick off until 15:00 however the C****** game is a 12:45 kick off. Can it be done, from the Bridge to Stonebridge Road in half an hour. Any comments as to how I could do this would be greatly appreciated.

I know BB, the date's a pain. I have a wedding on the 2nd so miss the first game, and was then supposed to be seeing a band I haven't seen since 1993 for a one-off reunion gig, but the pull of the Fleet means I will have to cancel that and go to Hucknall or Hereford. Bah!

Surely it only takes 5 minutes from the bar to the stand? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Well I have supported the Fleet for about 8 years now but my girlfriend has got me a 5 game season ticket for Charlton as a birthday present, so I will miss a few games because of clashes!!!! Off to see the Fleet tonight, and the Charlton v Spurs tomorrow, lucky me I hear you cry!!!!!!

Nothing wrong with your music taste Hirsty..! It must be a girl thing... I don't care too much for Lemar, Westlife, Britney and all that Brit-pop cr4p..!!

Definitely right chaps. Muscial taste is one of those areas where you can stereotype by sex pretty safely. I'm a tad older than you & whilst my "better" half is into Percy Sledge, Otis Redding & Diana Ross, I always inclined towards the rougher stuff provided by Bob Dylan, Lou Reed, Bruce Springsteen or Van Morrisson. (Always felt the Fleet could run out to Springsteen's "Born to Run" though Skins might well prefer Lou Reed's "Vicious.")
