Hey, maybe Fordy deliberately chucked that GLS Cup game after Westley paid him, knowing it was Stevenage's only chance of silverware this season...?

Seriously, good luck Andy, but I'd like to see you with a manager's job in the not-too-distant future.

Well, Andy certainly knows how to unstabilize our appreciation for him, doesn't he?

One sentence in the Stevenage news article struck me in particular (stated by Andy):

"I couldn't say that we (i.e. he and GW) have ever been friends.'

In all seriousness, best of luck to him, and let's all give him a great reception at Broadhall Way in a few weeks.

Even now the whole affair seems a little strange to me.

I have it on good authority that Andy Ford resigned 3 times over the course of the season not once. As normal "we" the fans only get half the story.

Had we been given this information in the first place it would have been easier to understand Andy's departure in the first place! By all accounts the Board turned down his previous 2 efforts to resign so why didnt we get told this?

Who knows, and frankly (moving forward) who is really that bothered?... If the board decided to decline AF resignation on two previous counts, that's down to them, I'm sure they had legitimate club preservation issues/reasons not to disclose the whole affair to the masses, a sort of, need to know basis..!!

Good luck to Andy in his future career, just hope he doesn't do too well against us in April..!!

Andy Ford was the best manager we have ever had but he has gone now, time to move on.
Hopefully in a few years time Liam Daish will be the best manager we ever had and following him whoever the next manager is will be even better.

Well said.
All that glitters isn't gold - Andy Ford was no exception.

The lads will have something to prove when they next meet Stevenage. Fordy won't have to go scouting Gravesend, he already knows them too well. I think he will be suggesting to his boss Westley, that they should be looking, and poaching Manny and Andy Drury with offers of fulltime football away from GNFC. Watch this space.

Mind you, I'm just an old cynic.

Well he was there tonight! I wish he would stay away, doesn't seem to bring us much luck!
