Heard on the vine that Chelsea might buy the old stadia at Wexham Road, and use it as a nursery team, its been suggested that Slough would continue to play there, and any good prospects would of course come under their umbrella.Makes good sense to me, as there are a lot of Chelsea fans in and around Slough.

Oh of course...

Chelsea would rather not build their own state of the art ground and rather do up a perfectly fine non-league ground for their hottest young prospects.

i heard that we are negotiating with Thorne to move back to Wexham Park. Negotiating to run the small clubhouse bar and a Sunday car boot sale for revinue generation

Chelsea earlier in the season opened their brand new training centre in Chobham. Apparently it is great with state of the art facilities and six pitches. If they were going to adopt a nursery non-league club I am fairly certain they would base them out of their (as it is they have been trying to foster good links within that area - used to have a club shop in Guildford etc).

The rumour mill re our future really appears to be someone listening to a broken record.

Presumably, in that event, all those precious types who object to Chelsea's millions on the grounds of good old Corinthian priciples would stop following the Rebels??

Thought not!

I've always thought this sort of thing could well happen in the future, though I suspect it more likely to be links with say Chelsea and Brentford, Arsenal and Orient, Spurs and some other deluded club...that sort of thing

Would tend to agree that when (not if) this sort of link up happens it will be at a higher level.

Would agree with that as well. Although the gap between the Premiership and the First Division is already so great that many teams cannot compete when promoted.

Never mind the Premiership become a closed shop, which I agree has almost become that by default, more of a concern is the undoubted inevitability of a European League becoming a reality within .....????10 years at most!?

Not advocating it, just think it is inevitable!

Impossible for anyone to belive this to be an objective view, but no way did Frisk retire of his own volistion. His display at Barcelona was apalling and I suspect UEFA have "asked" him to retire to save everyones face. ........by the way were you calling me or Frisk a Tit!?
