I think the players must have swapped kits at half time Saturday. Either that or the ball was suffering from some strange magnetic draw to the Great Park end!!

 

Personally I thought Jesiah (spelling?) was the most outstanding player for the Rebels, at least in the second half as they were all awfull first half. I watched the first half from the end we were defending and I was surprised at the amount of bickering going on between our boys at the back!

 

Funny how there No7 was a raspberry ripple one minute then sprinting through to score their second the next! As someone once said "It's a funny old game football Saint!"

Hmm, I think the phrase is gamesmanship. Although that was taking it a bit far as after celebrating the goal, Mr Cross was seemingly feeling the effects of his injury again as he had to get off the pitch.

As an ex-Slough player I guess Garry Cross (Chelmsford's No. 7) used every tactic he knew to ensure we won - & he succeeded.

Fair comment. And fair play to your manager for going through with his substitution to keep up the pretence!

 

It was a strange game though. All Chelmsford first half, all Slough second half (well with one obvious exception of course!)
