In my personal opinion, giving out current league status and some of the defensive errors that have occured this year, not to mention the drastic changes that have been made to the defence every other game;

I think, in my honest opinion, it'd have to be Danny Potter, an absolutely outstanding goalkeeper. A brilliant personality also, exactly what we could do with.

Obviously there's still Lee, no doubt another player that has kept us as high as we are here, and, don't forget, practically got us where we are in the first place. This year he's been unfortunate with injuries, and I still don't feel he's too near his peak in the Conference yet and seems a little easy on the defence so far.

Ollie hasn't really made enough appearances for me, been left out of too many games. He no doubt has a lot of determination when he comes on and can quite easily be able to change a result in the last few minutes.

Keeling, a great player undoubtedly, had a great season, not struggled in the slightest. Proved that even the Shots aren't a struggle for him, almost turned the game around. Has done many times this year, not to forget.

Very, very tough this year, but I'd be more than happy to see it be awarded to either Danny or Keeling. They're the people that have had the biggest impact on the team in my opinion, and that have really stood out.

although Sedgemore had that period in the middle of the season where he was a little weaker. I think he has been good enough all the other times to warrant consideration. but I will have to go with Keeling you only have to look at the amount of man of the match awards he has received, always makes an impact if he comes on as a sub or starts and by far the most praised player by the away fans.

tough decision this year though

When you consider Danny's played every FA Cup, Trophy, and League game this season and has a rapore with both Home & Away supporters alike, he must be well up there in the voting.

Duffers/Keeling close behind.

Difficult one this year.

Players like Lee and Mints out injured. Players being played out of their normal position and a constant rotation of squad players.

For me its down to Lee, Danny and Johnny Keeling.

Lee had that spell with injury but before and after he has been sticking them in the net. He has showed others that the step up to Conf National doesn't mean that you suddenly lose the ability to read the game and control of the ball.

Danny - brilliant performances remained consistently strong, very vocal, organises his defence - just wish they would listen - kept us in some games this season and helped earn us some valuable points.

My player of the season would be John Keeling. Again he has been stuck on the bench and not always been given the opportunity - but when he has he has grasped it with some very impressive displays. He is one of those players that the crowd like to see - prepared to take people on, creates chances and always appears to give 100% - even when the ball ain't running for him his head doesn't drop and he just keeps plugging away.

Would say Keeling. I have always admired him as a player since he single handedly won the game for Purfleet a few seasons back against us. Has been awesome at times this season and just keeps getting better and better as a player. I saw him a few times for Hornchurch last season and he was quality then but at times this season he has been unreal.

Danny has been outstanding this season. That game against Carlisle he was awesome and against the likes of York (away), Stevenage (home) and Aldershot (home) he won us the points. Has made some unbelievable saves this season.

Lee has shown great determination to return from a horrible injury. His determination and never say die attitude should be commended and I think in recent games he is beginning to show his best form and has snapped up chances when they've come.

Its a toughie. Got to be either.........

Danny Potter - easily one of the best keepers outside the league

Or

Johnny Keeling - has caused defences all sort of problems this season

Cant choose one or the other at the moment but i will definatly be voting and looking forward to see the winner

Good point you have rose Chris G about who for player of the year. I have been to most games this season and think there are a few in the running.

For me there are 2 players in the running for player of the year,

John Keeling or Ollie Berquez

John has been playing well all season but has tailed off in the last couple of weeks. He always poses a threat in games and is very exciting to watch. Great nutmeg against Aldershot.

For me though Ollie has stood out. After coming in after the first couple of games this season he has consistently performed well. He works hard, is commited to the team and is very creative. He is always looking to get forward and causes the oppostiion defences problems.

The real bonus for me is the amount of goals he has scored from midfield and in Lee's absence has been our main source of goals. I couldn't understand why he had been on the bench for the last couple of games I was pleased to see him back in for Crawley.

Lets hope the team can maintain there play for the rest of the season which they have shown in the last couple ogf games and move up the table.

Come on the gulls!

Ollie is definitely the most improved player at the club. Has been in outstanding form this season and his goalscoring record is highly impressive.

I agree with you Yellow & Steve D.

Ollie has been outstanding this season. He has been one of the few players who has raised his game for the difficulty of the league.

To score the goals he has from midfeild in a team that hasn't done as well as in previous seasons is impressive.

Lets beat the fleet
