I also dont agree with some of the stuff wrote but havent got the time nor can i be bothered to sqaubble with a bunch or rose tinted supporters.

Poor game, to scrappy not enougth football played, just a derbyt like game that was a very tight contest.

10 Bookings, Ref was a joke prob the worst ive ever seen got everything wrong including things like throw ons time after time, and 22 man punch up with punches thrown from each team= nothing
handbags at 10 paces= two sendings off!! work that one

niggly game maybe from both sides but not really one bad tackle yet ref wanted to be centre of attention and i dont care what you say about no one wents to do it these people obviously do but cant do it properly.

all in all the second leg should be a fairly exciting game.

Wheeler got to say thats a good summary, couldnt agree more, got to tell you the game was that bad that on the way out there was four of us trying to remember the scoreline!

Did think the red mist did come down on your number 7 though, caused by the lino & ref i think, but for 5 minutes he was on a diffrent planet, good management takeing him off.

Good to see you, Shaun, Sawbo 5 etc on here giving sensible threads & exchanging good natured banter, rather than some others on here.

I think our hard working kit man wanted to keep the white kit clean for tuesday nights game and I for one wouldn't blame him.

Kit Boy, still had the irnoning to do

It was also a cunning ploy to help shaun find his own players, and a 30% hit rate was betta than when we last saw him; but 25% going straight out was amusing!

At least 45%! and FYI ST. only 2 went out(It was windy!!!!)

Jesus! Mark we know you not fast but the first 2 yards are meant to be in your head! You were still 3 more yards from the ball.

It's called promotion! The ones that get the highest marks from the clubs are given the chance to move to a higher level. Which means that really, if you want to keep a good ref, give him average marks so he doesn't get moved up or down.

As I recall, club marks are primarily used to award plum appointments at the end of the season, i.e. cup final refs and linos. It is considered a great honour to be awarded a middle or line in a final.

Although club marks are taken into account for referees promotions, they are one of a number of factors. Refs applying for promotion have to attend training courses in the evenings, and are watched by assessors.
