margate are now 17th having played 1 more game than 18th,19th and 21st and are only 3 points off of a religation spot. i am praying that the impargo is lifted soon.

First half dire, barely any chances for either side. Second half livelier, Hornchurch got the ball wide and looked threatening. But it was Rocky who had a great chance. JK won the ball in his own half and his long pass sent Rocky clear. But his shot was as weak as p*ss.

Rocky excelled himself a few minutes later with a crazy pass across his own half straight to a home player. Home player bore down on goal and Trego brought him down. Penalty and Trego goes off.

1-0, end of story.

It was a poor game between two teams that, on the day, were both very poor. I cannot think of any of our lads who played really well, it was like something went missing today. 0-0 would have just about done it, Hornchurch certainly would not have scored unless we gifted them one, and obligingly, we did.

I will give credit for the two fine saves Nej made towards the end, despite still looking unfit with his knee.

I will now try and forget about this one, but the worry for me is that we could do without Trego being suspended, at the very least, seeing that we will have to raise our standard considerably after this sorry display.
