Tamworth deny Dover accusations

Tamworth have denied Dover Athletic's accusations of making an illegal approach after completing the signing of defender Jude Stirling, 22.

Dover chairman Jim Parmenter claimed on his club's website: "Tamworth haven't gone about this in the correct way."

But Tamworth chairman Russell Moore said: "Jude was a non-contract player and had an agreement he could go if a higher standard team came in.

"We will ask Mr Parmenter to withdraw his allegations and make an apology."

Ryman Premier side Dover believe the Lambs should have given them seven days' notice of their intention to sign Stirling, as is the rule for non-contract players.

Leyton have ALL their players up for grabs for "FREE". Dont know if any are any good but without the embargo being lifted it really dosent matter unless we lose a player or two but with the squad we have at the moment dont think anyone should be thought of in that bracket.

Definately need good news with this but the ground starting to get built will be more to my liking.

We need to stay in this division first of all, and thats far from a 'done deal'imo.

Need over 50 points this year which is 4 more wins.

Does anyone know if a transfer embargo stops you taking players on 'work experience'.

Surely there is an opportunity there
