Weather frustrates town

Recommended Posts

Enfield Town will be looking forward to Saturday more than most.

Jim Chandler's side have not kicked a football in anger for four weeks and will be keen to get back to action as soon as possible.

They again saw their weekend clash with Barkingside fall foul of the weather, and have a backlog of fixtures to start getting through.

Town, who are one point behind leaders Burnham Ramblers in the Eastway Essex Senior League with one game in hand, are also still in two cup competitions.

They travel to Sawbridgeworth for a League Cup semi-final first-leg tie this Saturday weather permitting.
