I have to laugh when people say they 'under-achieve' in Europe.

 

Err.. no they don't. They achieve about as much as a team of their limited capability are expected to.

 

They have just one team at Arsenal. If someone is out injured (or more likely, suspended), there is no cover. Their reserve team must be crap!

 

Wenger is shocking in the transfer market - he made a few decent signings in the 90s (Henry, Vieira, Gay Freddie), and has bought a bunch of muppets since. Even Reyes is well over-rated.

 

We were being told by some lunatics last year that Arsenal were the best team in Europe. What a hoot! Seeing as they were knocking out of last season's Champions League by Chelsea, they were patently not even the best team in ENGLAND!!

 

The Man Utd team of the mid-/late-90s would piss all over them. This team won trophy after trophy, retained the league title on several occasions and won the Champions League in 1999.

 

Arsenal have won just two league titles in seven seasons. That is not the achievements of a so-called 'best team in Europe'.

 

(Anyone who says "well, that's two more than Spurs" is missing my point entirely)

 

Nope, they've been found out. And it would not surprise me one bit if Bolton beat them in the FA Cup at the weekend.
