Boreham Wood 1-3 Billericay

Excellent performance from Town, once we realised that lumping high balls forward was not a good idea with Fewings up against 3 big centre backs. When we got the ball down and passed it around we were excellent. Fewings opened the scoring just before half time, then brennan added a penalty soon after. Lee Williams smashed home a 30 yard volley on 72 mins, before Andy Douglas netted a late consolation for the home team. Perhaps the most encouraging thing is that we can still play a lot better imho, we only played in patches tonight.

Thought we were excellent too tonight.De good thing is that in both the games we have looked liked we can move up another gear if required. And u hit dat nail on the head.... 'only played in patches'....it looks like the team can only get better, remember dat there are alot of new players who haven't played with each other for a longish time yet so let's hope there is alot more to come.Lee Williams goal worth the entry fee alone by the way.

superb goal by williams last night, agree it was worth the entry fee.

Good all round team display, in particular Kerrigan who so far hasnt done a thing wrong, southends loss. Brennan pulling the strings in the middle, feeding the Grahams nicely.

Would still prefer to see Rantala at the back though!!

elo im new to this just signed up :-)

Went to the billericay game against harrow and thought scott forrestor was very impressive! paul fewings has also done well having scored 2 goals already. Also, i think alvin bubb could do well in the ryman league being very quick and a type of player that a defender wouldnt like to play against. Jamie wallace is also promising. So after all this, who do people think is our best pairing up front going on what they have seen already?

Billericay by the way look the best i have seen them for years! If they a passing style going i think they could do really well this season!!

I don't know about the best pairing but isn't it nice to actually have a choice!!!!!!!!!

I would say on current evidence Fewings is the best of the bunch in terms of his all round game, good feat strong in the air seems to be a decent finisher so he would be in there. Forrester, Wallace and Bubb are all different types of player so Calder has the option of changing it depending on the oppo. So far Wallace and Bubb have been used as a pair to come on late in the match - Bubb in particular could be set for a super-sub role coming off the bench for 20 minutes to use his pace against a tired oppo defense.
