Had a tenner on a Barcelona/AC Milan/Arsenal treble (to go through - not to win actual game) so I'm sweating on that bunch of jokers from south of the water!

 

Gonna spend my winnings on a crate of Hot Chocolate and some salad.

The two Gyppo bosses here have both fked off on holiday - it's like they know what fate awaits them!

 

It's funny, the Chairman was on site a lot more often last year during this supposed (ha!) unbeaten season of theirs than he has been this year.

Had to laugh at this post on the Spurs message board!!...

 

I wonder why Arsenal are forced to play their home games at a neutral venue? I mean, it's so quiet at Highbury. Surely if UEFA let them play at their home ground near Paris they'd be able to create much more atmosphere. Have their boisterous, noisy fans been misbehaving?

Switching the subject to Spurs, I'm getting a little pissed off with these Jol rumours, and am starting to think he may actually go.

 

There's a bit in the Telegraph this morning about him having had talks with Ajax, and insinuating (as papers do, I guess) that he'll join them at the end of the season.

 

I am concerned that he's not come out and actually denied anything.

 

So I'm starting to think "fk him". What concerns me is that all the good work building up this team full of potential will be wasted, unless we get a fking quality replacement. Which given Spurs history is unlikely.

 

Actually, fk it. Who cares?

Frank Arnesen. Yeah, he seems to have his head screwed on. Not sure whether that would be enough to hang onto the likes of Defoe/King/Robinson, though.

 

Jol is a real good players' man. He's honest with them, and they respect that. He seems to get the best out of them.

 

Last thing we need is to end up with some [****!!****] like Pleat or Hoddle back there. No doubt Curbishley's name will come up again. I'm not so sure he'd be the right man.

Actually, I take that back about Hoddle. He was a top player - about the best I've seen. Just didn't do the job as manager.
