This Saturdays Game

Ok, so weve all just about gotten over the shock of the Hullbridge match being put back again, so time to look forward to our match with Salisbury City.

Theyve been flirting with the relegation for some time, but three consecutive wins have seen them move up to 14th. They have beaten Tonbridge and Hampton at home, and Northwood away.

Well all remember they defeated us earlier in the season, so we'll certainly have to be on our toes for this one.

Bookies have us at 1/3 which is a bit biased i feel, i dont think it will be that easy a game for us. Nevertheless, we should be looking upwards at this stage of the season, and we should be winning these sort of fixtures at home if were to fulfill our role as title contenders.

On other fronts, Braintree host Windsor, Yeading travel to Dover, and Eastleigh are at home to Leyton.

I think ourselves and 'tree will both win, Yeading will struggle at improving Dover (maybe sneaking a lucky last minute win or draw as usual), and the two play off rivals will draw at Eastleigh.

Any thoughts anyone?

This is sure to be a difficult game. Salisbury recently brought in a few new players and it seems to have given them a bit of a lift winning 3 on the bounce. Believe one of the players is ex-Saint Tommy Widdrington.Big strong team if I remember correctly so we can take nothing for granted.

Elsewhere Braintree should beat Windsor & Eton quite comfortably, but Yeading may not find Dover too easy.

if all our front players are fit, who would most of you start with? think this is difficult as nathan is scoring a few now, armstrong settling in and scoring, cuz also finding the net on a regular basis. Ross has scored the least but he really does work his socks off and is a good foil for the other forward.

so who would you start with tomorrow??

1-0 to the blues, trott header from a corner.

Probably be a 0-0 bore draw... the NLP want extra words this week....

According to the Echo Goths, Keiran and Forbes are injured so I'd stick with the XI that started against Harrow. Definately go with Nathan and Armstrong up front - last 2 games we've played with them up front we've scored 7 goals.

Could always go for the Dick Marshall Exeter away approach where from memory he failed to mention much if anything about the game filling it in with Justin quotes although I do seem to remember something about as (the fans) being fabulous and a few weeks later an editorial on the numbers or lack follow the islanders away

Will be a tough game as Salisbury are in good form at the mom. I'll go for a 2-1 win to us with our goals coming from Paul Armstrong and a last minute winner from the spot by Leon with the ref saying "Sh*t, I thought you were Yeading." Attendance a hearty 528.
