95 hours and counting!!...

Recommended Posts

143 hours now. Phew!

Don't even feel like a drink at the minute, though I'm not feeling as perky as I was yesterday. A bit harder to get out of bed this morning and feel a little faint. I put that down to a bad night's sleep though. Gonna have to start shutting the cat out of the bedroom again.

At what stage of your giving up booze did you start the exercise regime, Laz? I feel like I could possibly manage some now without collapsing after ten seconds!

Don't think I'll have a drink today, but tomorrow will be tough, as Emma and I are going out to dinner.

Yep, managed about 176 hours in the end, which is a personal best, certainly since I was about 17.

My next target is 350 hours, which is just over two weeks. My last mouthful of alcohol was at 6.15pm yesterday, so currently on 15 hours!!

Wonderstuff, though obviously a tight band, were pretty poor in terms of the material they played. Chose a lot of new stuff over favourites like Size Of A Cow, Dizzy and Welcome To The Cheap Seats.

Fk 'em.

none of them work.. its giving up booze.. lots of walking or joining the gym if you can be arsed or both!.. then eating loads of veg and fruit.. make your own fruit smoothies for brekky.. and dont eat protien with carbs.. so roast lamb n veg or potatos n veg .. no more meat sarnies im afraid.. walking is king in the fat burning stakes.. im down to a neat 15 stone this morning and i have been eating loads just folowing the above rules.. mind you just knocking the booze out probably saves me over 1,000 calories a day.. nothing since last weds lunchtime.. loking forward to sundays 7.30 am pint of guiness at stanstead

get a fk off blender.. chuck in whatever u fancy.. strawberries are obviously good.. a bananna is a must grapes and an apple or pear (i prefer pears to apples in the blend even though i never eat em normally) raspberries blueberries etc are good but do make it very 'pippy' so avoid if u want the super smooth smoothie..

mix that lot up add a few dollops of strawberry or peach bio yougurt (made by onken i think) and a splash of haoney to taste (always put the honey in last otherwise it will just stick to the bottom n not get mixed in.. make a [****!!****] load n stick it in the fridge.. great for a breakfast slurp and 1/2 to 3/4's of a pint will keep you off the bacon sarnies till lunch .. after a while if you buy a shop one it will taste like the bland manufactured long life crap it is

I brought a blender a year or so ago and some frozen strawberrys for the exact purpose of doing this, but like most my fads I did it once and never again.

I did however kick up a hell of a fuss here at work when we were kitting out the kitchen and they wouldn't buy me a smoothie maker, my arguemnt was that I don't drink tea or coffee so if everyone else was getting a kettle than I should have a smootie maker.

I'm going to go to town tomorrow buy some fresh fruit and dust it down, or I may go to Argos and buy the specalist smootie maker!

I walk loads, i think this may keep the belly slightly at bay!

Did the bizzo last night! 1 pear, 1 banana, a handful of red grapes, a handful of white ones, half a pallet (©Claire) of strawberries, a small box of blackberries, a clementine and a little bit of yoghurt.

Absolutely superb! - so good, I made myself another one later in the evening! Only I lost a few points when I forgot to take the pips out of the clementine!!

The strawberry yoghurt was slightly overbearing in its artificial taste I thought, so I'm going for plain, natural yoghurt tonight.

63 hours.

Just realised that 350 hours brings me up to Easter Monday morning - the day of the Lewes game, which I'm intending to go to!

Dovetails nicely!!
