Make your mind up Harry, true G&NFC fans would never do that surely tut tut tut. Bet if G&NFc were top of the league you wouldnt be going to Chelsea would you? Glory hunter.

Harry you are a glory hunter, not a real fan at all of anyone. If G&NFC were top of the league with an all important game tonight you wouldn't be going to Chelsea would you. No wonder its part time with fairweather followers like this. All mouth no trousers.

Still you helped with the non segregation decision, only 716 followers turned out, thirty plus from Halifax which makes it just 600 plus from G&NFC. Poor show.

Maybe true fans should have been at the game not watching Chelsea or Man U on tv, thought it was about getting behind the team. Or can we do that from home?

Your right I'm not a true fan of Gravesend & Northfleet.

I thought Harry explained himself earlier no need to have a dig at him like that, many people on this forum support 2 teams no law against it, were you there tonight OOB, many people have to work, have families. cannot make it for one reason or another.

I admit i was not there tonight, my excuse i lost a bit of interest in football about November time, also as i run my own business and my business was hitting a bad patch that took control of things, but i have started to go again and got the interest back, but tonight i did not arrive home until 8pm so that's my excuse so i watched a bit of Chelsea & Man Utd and kept switching to sky for conference updates, support from home.

Well done to the 600 odd loyal fans.

I was there and wished I'd stayed in and watched what sounded like a classic Chelsea v Barca match. Does that make me any less of a fan?

What a load of old nonsense that Harry's less of a fan... people are entitled to a night off, and many fans have 'two teams'. Did the person criticising Harry carry any petitions into the away end last Saturday?

Although hopefully one day I will be. Eight months ago I would never have picked Gravesend over Chelsea, not only was it seen by many as the strange choice but also why should. I'm not a plastic Chelsea fan whose only been going to see them since the money started rolling in, but I was there with my "Save the brdige bucket" back in the early 90's.

Since then I have bought a season ticket year in year out only to get where I am now. I should not feel guilty for my dad taking me, when I was eight, to watch a team that he had been watching for thirty years. I grew up watching Chelsea to go and see them is the norm.

However just over the last few years something has been missing from the bridge a bit of pride and passion. I remember once stumbling on some website that some former Chelsea fan had written. He had since converted to Millwall. WHY? I don't know. But perhaps the same thing is going through me now.

So this season at the beginging for some reason I decided to stop going to Chelsea and start going to Gravesend, they are after all my local team and the town has given me residence for twenty two years not to mention my identity is it to much to ask for a bit of support? No.

This change wasn't due to happen until next season, however. I was going to enjoy Chelsea's centenary and let it be my last, but you can't pick and choose your football club, you can't pick and choose where you want to go.

So I brought the "change over" forward. To the end of this season. I had made my mind up no one was going to change it. Also I said that I would choose any Chelsea game over Gravesend. This however also soon changed. I choose to watch Gravesend Carlisle when I could have been at Chelsea Everton, also Gravesend Aldershot when I could have been at Chelsea Portsmouth.

The Gravesend bug had gripped me.

Every year on the saturday before Christmas without fail my dad goes to Ascot to watch the racing. He goes with his mates for a good laugh. Wheather or not Chelsea are at home. Where would he rather be Chelsea or Ascot? On this occasion Ascot, but over all its Chelsea, thats his pride and passion, they are where his heart is.

However he thinks on just for one game they can do without me. If I had missed Chelsea Barcelona toninght I would have missed the greatest game of Football ever. (I didn't know it was going to be as good as it was) I would have been cursing myself forever and yeah I'll be honest all for what, give Gravesend another tenner? Have a laugh. For about an hour and a half on Saturday I stood and got signatures for Gravesend and Northfleet, real Gravesend supporters will know what I mean. Not you, you stupid prat.

Going tonight wasn't going to mean I never go to Gravesend again and maybe if this game had been played a year latter I would be a "True Garvesend & Northfleet fan" and miss it to watch the fleet.

But the fact of the matter remains I am a fully pledged and paid up member of the Fleet Trust, I plan to get further signatures for the petition, I have a lot of merchendise bought from the club shop benefiting the club greatly and I will travel to as many home and away games as possible.

Meanwhile "Old Old Bill" what have you done?
