Once again, I open up the pages of the newspaper in hope to see a report with maybe a picture, but yet again I see a photo-less report pushed into the corner.

 

Is it just me who gets irritated by this? It seems nearly every week we're given a smaller report than nearly every other Conference side, and usually don't get a photo to accompany the report either.

ya i get annoyed by it as well. evvery other game has a picture and a view from the manager. Plus it may be shutting down soon anyway.

Think we used our quota when they interviewed LD last week, they dedicated a whole page to it, so we have had all the exposure we are gonna get...!!

Chas does the report but I believe thats all he does. He doesn't have any say on what else goes in. He supplies what he can. What baffled me was they normally have a story about each club, I though they would have something about our new signing but nothing.

It was announced fairly late on Friday, though, and you think how many results/reports have to be collated on a Saturday evening to ensure it's all laid out, quotes received, photos downloaded and put on page, players identified and captioned, and enough space planned to keep every fan of every club happy, then got to the printers for you all to read on Sunday morning.

Putting a paper together isn't the piece of p!ss many people seem to imagine it is!

Oh no don't get me wrong I like the non league paper and would't suggest for a second that it's easy to put together, I just thought it would have a bit about him thats all.

What annoys me is the cutting down on statistics at the back of the Conference Review section. Where there used to be all manner of info, such as Card Counts, figures for each club (corners, fouls etc), the Form Guide and Team of the Day, there is now a page crammed with the results, a few leading scorers, fixtures and some Unibond league stuff. Not good.

I agree I am especially pissed off with the fact that they have to include coverage of Nationwide div.2,or whatever they call it now,it is supposed to be a NON LEAGUE PAPER!!!

Look on the bright side - the League coverage is much reduced now - but then so are a number of other things in there...
