Well Dover are no push over, I would take that to be a draw for Yeading...quite probably DJ Campbell falling over in the box in the 88th or 89th minute and securing the draw with a penalty. Yeading also play Leyton and they won't be no push over.

Boretree have Yeading (h) - That should be a home win. Eastliegh away - I'll go for a draw for that.

Our potential banana skins are Chelmsford and Worthing...We'll beat Yeading unless, again DJ falls over and the ref decides he'll be Father Xmas to the bunch of West London pikies!!!

I'm not concerned with Eastliegh. All I hope they'll do is hold up Boretree.

The bookies still have Yeading as strong favourites. Id be willing to bet that both our good selves and our north essex farmer friends will be within 4 points (at least) of Yeading by Saturday night. Yeading are having a bad run, and id be surprised if they recover their early season form by the end of april. I honestly think the title will be a battle royale between us and B'tree

You know me TC, never one to pass on gossip, but I hear that one of the top three clubs (and they're not in Essex) have been fielding a player that signed for them on non contract basis, without undertaking the required seven days notice of approach to his former club. The former club have reported the matter, apparently.

A points deduction would be helpful but, methinks a fine is more likely. More news as and when.

IW, do you have a job? And do you do any work there? Amount of time you spend on this and other forums, and making up useless form table predictions for the end of the season, its a wonder you have time for anything else. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

If any of the rest of us skived as much as you we'd be fired tongue

The joys of being the guv'nor my friend from the land of our fathers.

TC - this might offer more -

LEESE ANGRY AT WALES` DEPARTURE

Midfielder Steve Wales dropped a bombshell on Southern League Division One East coub Boreham Wood last week by announcing that he was leaving to join Ryman League Premier Division leaders Yeading.

Both Wood manager Andy Leese and chairman Danny Hunter stood side by side in condemning the nature of his departure.

Leese said: "There was no official approach made to the club, and we will have to see what sanctions the FA are prepared to apply to this unacceptable situation."

Initially Leese was seething. He had discovered Wales playing park football four-and-a-half years ago, had honed him into a talent that has attracted the likes of Colchester United and brought him to Wood from Cheshunt, along with a whole host of other players in January.

Back on topic for a moment, when is our fixture with Worthing going to be rearranged for? Looking at the list of Saturdays and Tuesdays on the website, the only free dates are 15th March (presumably too short notice to arrange for then), and 5 April. Thats before you include 2 EFLC cup games (unless one is played 2moro). After that were looking at the unpleasant situation of playing Thursdays etc, a la Slough.

It's not a definitive list of free dates Cardiff, the dates on the site are just those where the top 4 clubs have games. I heard a rumour the Worthing game could be lined up for the 26th April, but not had this confirmed yet.

All our games are potentially banana skins if we fail to show the right attitude. We've reached the stage of the season where performance is irrelevent, it's who can produce the goods under pressure that will win it. I can see all 3 clubs dropping a few "banana skin" points over the next couple of months....

It could come down to experience - in which case B***tree might have the edge

It could come down to fitness - in which case we might have the edge

Yeading have still got that 6 points lead, and if they can bring in a few players to get them firing again they will have the edge...

Exciting isn't it!
