ok, not a lot of time, today so as briefely as possible

to go back to Gazza's original question, and that we have 8 league games to complete before the end of the season, in addition to 3 semi-finals,

I would think, that this may possibly have been raised in certain areas;

and it is not beyond reasonable doubt that this subject has generated much discussion and email

so watch not this space but www.etfc.co.uk

Thankyou ST, I did ask the question out of genuine concern as would not like us to end up with the Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday senario for the last couple of weeks of the season.

A question i wonder if anyone else has wondered is why do the ESL league cup games get played on a Saturday from the quarter finals onwards? Thats a month worth of Saturdays if you reach the Semi's, surely League games should take preference?

There has always been an overwhelming consensus of opinion made to me, at least, that League Cup ties should be on Saturdays's - , in fact, Gazza, you are the first person to express an opposite opinion - nice to be different I suppose ! Seriously, though, the Fixture Secretary's job can be very difficult indeed, particularly if a club is very successful and another has a number of postponed games. We just have to do our best for everyone !

Apreciate your comments LC, a clear case of "horses for courses" i suppose, personaly promotion is priority while the cup matches are just a pleasent distraction.

Just a point though the Football League Cup games are all played mid-week with the exception of the final, as are most knockout cup competitions with the exception of the F.A Cup of course.
