Staines Lammas FC and the RSR Steel Surrey Senior League

I noticed a result in yesterday's NLP which took me back a few years.

 

Is there anyone out there who was involved with Staines Lammas in the late sixties/early seventies. I don't know what league I was in, I just turned up and played from my home in Heston.

 

I spent my last season 69/70 or was it 70/71 or 71/72 with the Lammas prior to retirement for domestic reasons.

 

I played centre forward that season which. if I remember correctly was a quite good one. Our best result I think was a 5-3 cup win away at Spelthorne Reserves.

 

I'm now back in my original home town and supporting Romford now back in Essex Senior league. They have had a mixed last few seasons as some of your may know.

 

Perhaps someone will be able to let me know what happened to Staines Lammas in the intervening years up until their participation in the Surrey Senior and how that came about.
