Poor old Opti. This has turned into a rather depressing thread for you. It seems on here that Slough fans are a humerous, GENUINELY optomistisic but realistic buch. Must be tough finding out nobody shares your world-weary outlook or desire to denigrate others in order to argrandise your own opinion.

Firstly on the contrary if you bother to check you will see my original thread as pulled in the most readers as usual-must be that its all a bit interesting or maybe you can see at last that I am totally right in my assertions,it was interesting to see that Chris S. never replied to my posed questions regarding the strenght of current players compared to those in the past.
And no! unlike you I would not be seen dead reading a tabloid newspaper.

the point is in football no-one gives a flying toss what happened in the past. Having the best team in the athenian league in 1975 has bugger all to how the current team is doing or will do

I was there at skem and all the other matches from 1964 ! great teams but in todays climate of fitness and improvements throughout the football world - who could ever compare them ? those teams would find it difficult ...too now I beleive....

 

I am A rebels supporter and can not see the wood for the trees ....and never will....Slough Town until I die....
