Andy Oxby

DOB 20.08.1983

Birthplace London

Current Team Metropolitan Police

Position Midfield

Originally with Charlton Athletic, Andy joined Norwich City as a Academy scholar in 1999 and spent three years at Carrow Road. During his final year, Norwich announced in March 2002 that none of their third year scholars would be offered a professional contract and Andy signed for Barking & East Ham United on Ryman League terms in January 2003.

In April 2003, Andy had a trial with Ryman League Premier Division side St Albans, playing in a friendly against Icelandic side FC Throttur.

He also trialled with Stevenage Borough.

After periods with Grays Athletic and Romford, where he scored 5 goals in 9 appearances, he signed for St Albans at the end of October 2003 where he was Saints manager Steve Castle's first signing as manager.

At his own request, he was released by St Albans in the middle of January 2004.

He quickly signed up for Division One South side Metropolitan Police.

Previous Clubs

St Albans C - 1.04, Romford, Grays Ath., Barking & East Ham Utd, Norwich C, Charlton Ath (Junior)

Yes as Dilbert pointed out on the way back, it makes sense to reinforce the squad as after transfer deadline day (which I think is Mar 31) you can't get anyone else in. Not sure if there is an exception for keepers but perhaps it would be prudent to keep Mel signed up til the end of the season just in case.

Mr Ansell skilfully managed to avoid answering questions about another rumoured signing next week...

5pm on March 31st to be exact (that's the deadline for the paperwork to be at the league's ivory towers anyway).
