Chuffed for Liam as he has done something to this team that wasnt there before - in fact he has been an inspirational management signing!!!!

A mysterious 3 blatant 'boro pens turned down today apparently. Great performance from everyone today. Great to see Pinns stick one away, great finish. Andy didn't stop working and Lovell played well. The Skins/Lovell partnership was looking very good in the first half. It's so good to see the team playing with a bit more confidence again. We play football we play well like today, we hoof we lose. Pinns was going forward a lot more today instead of backwards. Sigere made a good debut, don't know if that goal will be given to him though, looked very dubiously an OG to me. Was also good to see him pounce on the free kick rebound that Lovell had to retake in the first half. Forgot to mention Macca, what a game from him. Did not stop working either and helped link defence with attack in the middle. Also, great double save from Pullen at the end of the first half.

Daish must be doing something right to get them playing well again, sprint finish to end the season would fit the bill, and an FA trophy final!! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bow.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bounce.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/greenapple.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/orange.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/redbanana.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wow.gif" alt="" />

Apparently Manny aggravated an injury in training. Thought it was an excellent performance today. Imposed ourselves on them from start to finish. I was worried about next week's game in the Trophy, but if we play like we did today, we'll have no problems: confident, organised, disciplined & in charge. No doubt about the outcome from 1st to 90th minute.

Just as well I wasn't out there today - complete lack of brain to body co-ordination in the 1st half meant I missed videoing both 1st half goals. Have the 2 from the 2nd half, though (must have been the pint at half time restoring 'normal' service.) Will post them late tonight or tomorrow.

Was just a little concerned by the 20 minutes either side of half time, when we gave the ball away too often How that guy missed the 1st chance, I dont know - straight at Pullen from 6 yards out then weak header at Pullen as well.

And, worryingly, we were caught in the Central defensive position on 2 or three other occasions as well, when they should really have scored.

Good performance up front though - good finishes by Jay & Pinno - and Jacko's goal wasnt bad either - lovely bit of skill by Drury to set him up.

Real shame that Andy's goalbound volley at 4-0 hit the defender - that would definitely have been goal of the game.

Good to see Pinno's goal as well - he worked hard all game, and the goal might help silence some of those moaners (though I doubt it!)

The first was definitely an OG - Siggy only got the faintest of touches and it would surely have gone straight across the face of goal, had it not hit the defender immediately behind him.

Just one other point - why did it take the stewards so long to agree to let the away fans (all 50 of them) out of their segregated area, under cover? The match didnt need segregation at all, and to wait until the rain/ sleet/ snow had virtually stopped, before allowing them to move, was just plain daft.

You shouldent worry so much Alan. Are you looking for a perfect performance. The other side are always going to have a chance or two somewhere in the game. The 'Fleet' performance today was the best ive seen for a very long time. Well done all concerned.

Definate own goal. I didnt see the touch, but I did see it hit the defenders leg. A brilliant 'Dummy' perhaps..........

Correct about the away support. Sooner something is done about the terracing the better. They could have been under cover from the start then. Those fans had come alongway to see the game. Some were very old and very cold. They deserved better (complimentary cup of bovril may have helped). At least they were moved in the end, that's something.

Now for all those that disagree and just dont like away fans..your chance

Yes, I have to agree about the visiting supporters. What on earth were the stewards thinking of having them guys standing out in that dreadful weather. God knows what they think of our club, This shouldn't be allowed to happen, com'on you guys use some common sense in future, no segregation needed in this instance

Of course, I'm looking for a "perfect performance"!! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> I'm sure everyone is.

I agree that it was our best performance for some time & the confidence is definitely coming back, but just had some concerns at how easily they seemed to get the few chances they did. Had it not been for 2 or 3 really good saves by Pullen, especially that double save at 2-0, we could have been run much closer. (That said, it could easily have been 3-0, when Sigere tucked away the rebound from the free kick, only to find the ref had wanted the kick taken again (quite why their guy kept complaining enough to get booked, I dont know - after all, it saved them a goal, as I dont think they could have stopped it, even if the ref hadnt called it back))

Excellent performance. I agree with Richard C that Drury deserved m.o.m. but Gledhill did very well playing out of position.

A couple of good moments from Sigere but for a big man he didn't win much in the air, still it would be churlish to critisize after a 4:0 win.

Pullen was top class when needed and Skins didn't put a foot wrong.

Best moment for me was at half time when the heavens opened and some wag put "it's raining, men" on the tannoy. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bow.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" />
