With us still being in two cup competitions we can do without too many more postponements - we will be playing every midweek from now on if any more called off. The only plus is this will help get the injuries cleared up and maybe time to bring in some more players. Ashford have several rearrangments to make themselves so available dates will start becoming a problem. Lets hope we have seen the worst of the weather. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

We cannot bring in any more players at present unless someone leaves

If this is the case can anyone explain why the transfer embargo is still in place - now we have the financial backing of the developer so surely outstanding debts can be made good, we can't keep going with just 11 fit players it will get to the stage where we cannot field a side.

By me reckoning, we have 20 players on (or near) the books including:

 

Darren Annon - out for the season

Mark Green - possibly back before the end of the season

Pat Gradley - sub versus Cray so on his way back

Tamba Ngongou - registered with us but playing youth football for Wycombe(?)

Conor Lander - awaiting clearance (?)

Eseyas Yhdego - not sure of status here

 

As well as Bouadji, Pulman has I understabnd left the club. So excluding Darren A, Tamba, Conor and Eseyas that's 16 players.

Am i missing something here, but what fixture backlog?

 

Most teams have 2 games a week this time of year.

 

We have less than that.

 

Today was our mid-season break !!

 

I do agree that we are susceptible to injuries though ,and even if the embargo does get lifted, i think the transfer deadline i in about 2 weeks.
