The funniest joke I may of ever said

Recommended Posts

So I was in Turnmills last night and Peter Hook (of New Order fame) was DJ-in.

I asked him when Abu Hamza was turning up

He looked a bit bemused and I said "somebody told me the hook was DJ-in tonight"

He laughed and shook my hand! Top Man!

BTW look out for a band called El Presidente, they are superb, as are Y.O.B (Youth of Britian). El Presidente have a couple of stunners in the band, on drums and one on keyboards.

Geez, I feel ill and I'm very very tired zzzzzz

Our first aid specialist is stuck in the snow so hold fire with the humour for a bit in case I "split my sides" with laughter.

I'm going to spend the rest of the day thinking of a name for Margate.

I suppose some one has already called them Marmite? Not in the same class as Shagford I know but it's the best I can do this morning, fella.

Criteria for a "superb" band, according to the legend that is Sniffer Thorns...

  • wear mad t-shirts and knee-length 'wacky'-colourful early 90s-style bermuda shorts.
  • jump around alot playing simple barre chords on your guitar with the distorter pedal turned up to eleven (see Carter and Busted)
  • have 'wacky' spiky hair, preferably shaved down one side and unwashed for six months
  • 'sing'-shout banal rubbish (often about politics) in their put-on regionalised accents whilst their pre-recorded DAT machines do all the musical-type stuff, ie. bass and drum loops
  • have their single stall at number 137 in the charts, so you can bang on about how the best music is undiscovered and spunk over how you're one of only a select few who have heard of them (see Art Brut etc.)
  • And of course, unless they've been pre-approved by either member of untalented 1990's skiffle unit Carter, you're not allowed to like them

Get yourself a Simon & Garfunkel album, mate. Discover real music, created and performed by talented poets.
