With the massive 80's update to my site very nearly ready it crossed my mind that I could run an online 'real time' quiz based on the 80's if a few people were interested.

 

I'm thinking of this Sunday evening - I'd post, say, 20 questions one at a time on a pre-arranged webpage and then participants could e-mail their answer to me. I'd probably allow a couple of minutes per question so you'd be looking at about an hour total.

 

Hoping to get the update done Sunday too so it'd need to be early evening so I've got time to upload everything afterwards.

 

Waste of time or worth a go ?

I would follow it, but I was not living here then, so like many I would not know any answers. I am sure that many people away from the area would appreciate it - generally one of the best features of this sort of thing.

Bit of a computer crisis, nothing too major I don't think, but forget I ever mentioned a quiz ! Won't be happening any time soon now but the update should hopefully be online Sunday evening, Monday at the absolute latest.

I was looking at your site today. Ian Starkey? Who the faarrk was he?! I honestly have no recollection of this person. Was he a Bromley boy?

Starkey was one of our knee bandage stars - somebody came up with a whole X1 of them for the fanzine many moons ago. Frampton, Young, Lee Carter (aka Limp Canter), Hales, Murrock...

 

Anyway, Starkey had had a good career, mainly at Welling but then retired when his knee packed up. Came to us as a coach if I remember rightly but then decided to give playing another go.
