Saturdays team

Any suggestions for Saturdays team.

 

I hope Jay isn't moved back to centre back, he played well there earlier in the season but we lose too much in midfield without him breaking into the opposition area.

Without Roy we must change our style of play, I would like to see Jukebox up front with Manny to attack teams with the ball on the deck.

It would be good to see Ben Surey given another chance.

Although Moussa probably won't start there I would like to see him play up front. If we can get the ball threaded through their defence/lifted over the top, I think Moussa's pace could proove a threat. Only an idea that I would like to see.

Of the two forward partnerships suggested above, I suspect the one with Jukebox would be the more sensible option.

 

Also, I agree with Slarti on Jay - better to put Conkers in at centre-back if Bunce isn't available.

It would be handy if Bunce is available, he looked pretty solid at centre back.

I think it would be good to leave Jay in the middle with Macca, and play Conkers at the back like last week. With no Roy, I think we should play Jukebox sitting just behind Manny up front, as Pinno didn't look right on saturday. So, my team would be:

It looks like it is up front where Mr Diash has his problems!!!! Saunders has to stay in midfeild as he has been a consistent goal scorer from there and we need that.

 

Pullen, Protheroe, Gledhill, McCarthy, Skinner, Lovell, McKimm, Saunders, Drury, Manny and Sibide.

 

Only problem is with a probable heavy pitch will the two front men be able to use their pace!!!!

If Jukebox was put up front and a vacancy in midfield therefore left, I'd prefer to see Surey given a chance ahead of Moussa. As Slarti says, Ben deserves a chance, since he hasn't played under Liam yet. However, there is the question of whether such a lop-sided midfield (i.e. only one real wide player) would be a problem.

Hope no Scarborough supporters are reading about our 'possible problems' building a solid team against them..!! Hate to think they are building in contingances against our softer areas of the formation.

 

Rest assured, whatever outfit Liam decides to field, it will do the business, and get yet another good result for us.

He said he was "alright", which is as good as it gets with Nathan.
