Herts Senior Cup final

Recommended Posts

A friendly word of warning, Mad. If you do try the scam of wearing a blazer with a Herts FA badge on it to the final in order to take advantage of the free bar, you will be mixing with some Premiership quality, seriously professional freeloaders.

If there are any prawn sandwiches left by half-time, you might try to get one out to us on the terraces. None of those celery stick things, thanks all the same. I'm trying to avoid any vegetable or salad that's green.

Mad, when travelling on the underground, try wearing a blazer that has "London Underground" on the badge. You can go anywhere you like for free although sadly there is no catering available.

Yellow, I still consume the odd fluid now and again. These are not alcoholic but technically they still count as drinks. Geek!

ye, but it has an a with two dots over the top and I dnt know how to put that in there. All these blazers that I need, must go for a charity shop one day. I know GHA is on the underground but AFF wants to be like him. AFF will you sign my ass for me? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

[great thread]

technically, Mad, the 'two dots' (or 'umlaut') as the Germans call it represent a missing 'e' and not an additional 'a' - you were close, therefore, but not quite right. So it should from now on be written as 'Jaegermeister' - it means 'Hunting Champion' in English - so quite appropriate for you, I would think

Hi Mad.

Unlike your current school blazer where the badge is made of some form of cloth which needs to be properly sewn onto the breast pocket by Mummsie, presumably, the badge of Hertfordshire FA and, indeed, most organisations where the wearer is able to enjoy a serious level of freeloading, is made of wire. They, the badges, are stiff and could be clipped onto the blazer in a moment.

The point is Mad, you don't need a number of blazers. One is sufficient providing you have a number of different wire badges.

This 'sign my ass' thing. Is that a current juvenile expression that has a meaning on the street?

G. Angel.

A thousand greetings O Learned One. Are you familiar with the work of the two bands what Mad mentioned earlier in the thread? How about the venues The Underground and The Northern? There's a very good band at Ronnie Scotts on Sunday evening. 'Thabani'.
