what a cracker was f***ing cold and i have f***ed my throat from all the singing but what a game well worth the entrey fee.

7 goals and some excellent bits of football from both teams at times we could have had 6-7 tbh missed some siters but hell we won so i wont moan UP DA GATE!!!!.

Oates substituted at half time, Pat Gradley came on for him. Watson came on for Moses about 20 minutes into the second half.

Give Cray their due, they battled hard for this. Not a pretty game, but our class told in the extra time. Having said that, we missed a few sitters, and we were all holding our breath at the end as we so wanted to go home and be warm and dry.

Horrible horrible cold wet night. Fantastic vocal support for the team.

Forgive me for taking up the mantle of 'grumpy old man'; but does not conceding 6 goals against Cray, tell us the truth about how poor our defence actually is.

 

I just pray that the embargo is lifted and CK can get in a couple of proper defenders at centre back and cover for Mark Green.

 

Just imagine the freedom that the likes of Rocky and Che could play with if they had confidence that everytime the ball goes in our half, there is a reasonable chance that we would not concede a goal either diret; or we give away a free kick/corner that inevitably leads to a goal.

Cray arnt a bad team MM played some good football imo. ive seen far worse teams in conf south.

Great to see Ali Bongo and Bongo Junior crawl out of the woodwork, shaking hands with Piper, Kinnear, etc. They pissed off about 10 minutes from the end of normal time like the great fans they are, and always have been.

A couple of posts earlier have sort of poo-pooed this competion but the sucess we've had in it and as holders I for one would like us to keep doing well in it. Last night was a proper cup tie-it had everything-good play,crap play,goals,the Gate fans absolutely going for it,entertainment from the Cray bench,the lino's offside decisions-which were driving me crackers but in the end were so far out were actually quite amusing. Well done to Cray-they're a good team and you can see how they ened AFC Wimbledon's unbeaten record. Despite the weather-a cracking night.
