FLEET FIRST PETITION...

Recommended Posts

Personally I am not very computer literate, but is there any way in which the petition could be put onto the Gills Forum, anything is better than just letting the matter drop again. If we do go quiet on this it is exactly what the politicians are hoping for.

...so sorry to go on about this but at least it has got folks talking about it again.

So is the 300 odd petition, in addition to or include the little forms we all filled in from the Reporter? Whatever, I had assumed that the Reporter ewas going to make a splash about presenting the petition to whoever.

Another point -If we only have 300 sigs I think walking around the Fleet supporters would get more signatures than tapping up the away fans. Just a thought!

Pleased to see the interest is still alive re the petition. Number of signatures at present is 329, which is an improvement on this time yesterday. I know women get accused of nagging, but from past experience with coucillors and local authorities I know the only way to get anywhere with them is to wear them down by nagging.

Petition message should now pop-up every time a visitor looks at Whitebucket (and hits are a quite healthy 2,400 unique visitors and 150,000 hits a month) so hopefully that will generate some interest.

Unless they've blocked pop-ups of course!

PS. Actually, now it's stopped working for some bizarre reason and I can't seem to make it happen again. So ignore the above, I'll have to have a look at it.

Your comments are all very well, Behind the Goal, but what are YOU doing to add names to the petition?

Talk is cheap, but at least Harry is getting off his backside to do something. Are you going to report to Jessica at 2.p.m. to ask for some petition forms to get filled in?

This campaign is only going to succeed if AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE do something to support Brian Kilcullen.

,,,so if my maths is right that means 360 signatures in total. I am surprised it is not 1000+ what with the Reporter slips, the on-line stuff and the bits of paper.

We need a concerted push (just walking around the bar would get 100?) but I anm still not clear on who we will give it to when it is closed!

This petition... and excuse me, I have not been approached by anyone at the club to sign it..! Though I have signed it 'on-line'. Surely we can rustle up a couple of supporters to pass it round the area they normally view the match from?..

By the end of the match, it should be loaded with enough sigs to make it a viable document to submit to the local council?...

I will be happy to pass it round.
