Having not logged on for a few days due to both work and illness,it is refreshing to open the site and read messages actually relating to footbal and not se and the b-----y c-----l. regarding the posting about the great Jeff Tryce and sky football, wouldnt our clubs story make a great film for either a budding documentry maker( or even for an article on Ray (thanks for signing the petition)Stubbs BBC football focus. at least they could be interested in sending a crew tofilm our first game at Hartsdown park. Cookie, did i hear Kp say that the club were in tals with both a premiership club and a 1st division club with a view to close links. I cannot remember whether this was in relation to the main club, opening game or training the youth setup mentioned. It was also interesting to hear that at least one local club had been in cotact to come under the clubs umbrella though i think KP said it would have to be known and run as MARGATE FC.It was to hear positive talk once more. As for the name of the supporters club, Lets leave it alone. its only a name and its not hurting any one. for the 1st time in a long while can say in confidence COME on the GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE UPWARDS and ONWARDS to DIV 2 and beyond. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bow.gif" alt="" />

Well what a nice elongated post blublood. It was mentioned the other night about a Premier club, in connection with our club, and interest from another lower division club.Though as to what I cant seem to recall.

I expect someone else that was there can up-date you on that. As for the youth policy, yes two local clubs have been in touch about bringing their teams on board but it was stressed that should that occur any team would lose their identity and come under Margate football youth set-up.

As for MISA I dont agree that it should be left as it is and thats purely because of the "independant" bit. Some people may see this as an "independent" set-up and therefore a little concern/and maybe a little mistrust would be the back of their minds.

I know, we all know, that they, as they are, are doing a fine job but I just think that a name change leaving out the "independent" bit could and would lead to more of a cash input from people who dont realise the hard work they do for the club..From the outside it may sound a little "iffy" if you catch my drift.

A direct link with the club may be more beneficial.
