Given our level in the pyramid Slough should not have made the 2nd Round of the FA Cup or the last sixteen of the trophy. But we did because we are good team. Given our "promotion" to a much superior league than the shambles we played in last season I am happy with our league form. I think Optimistic/Tara/Anontosspot really should set out their expectations so we all know what we have to aim for?

On the basis of your comments I would say that European qualification through the FA cup was the minimum, right?

woah woah woah, was not in any way implying we weren't a good team...was merely noting the irony in the bryco cup being considered the cup "worth winning" (as opposed to FA Cup/Trophy)

How ironic, you have completely missed the point.Oh! and yes now the Bryco Cup is more important, cos we are out of the others lol!!

Right thread this time... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

Who ever said that the Bryco Cup was more important than the league? The league is and always has been the bread and butter of our season, with the cups as bonuses.

Quite right, we should really be looking for a 100% record with no goals conceded ever. Preferably winning in entertaining style scoring a minimum of 3 goals per half. At the same time we should be letting the fans in for free and arranging gratis travel to away games. Meanwhile the magic pixies are building as a beautiful new stadium in the centre of Slough. During the time between training and games (and their day jobs) our super human players are also expected to cure cancer, ensure world peace, feed the world and basically grant us all immortality and enormous wealth. Then and only then would optimistic/tara/anontosspot be SATISFIED.

Isn't that what we all expect anyway?

What's a hald, and how do you score 3 goals in it?

Seriously though, the support was good on Saturday in Kent probably because we weren't expecting anything. Let's try getting this level of vocal support on a more regular basis during our league games where you would think judging by the abuse given out by a bad pass here, or a lack of a run there, our expectations aren't too dissimilar to those described above in jest by Martin.

Half, sorry.

It also helped with segregation that all the travelling supporters stood in one place. Let's make our usually superior numbers count - starting with tomorrow which is a big game.

What is "optomistic" anyway? We ask for Anon posters to put their names and when they do they are illiterate!

Guys,

leave the muppet alone. Wind-up merchant's like that are two-a-penny don't give them the satisfaction. No-one needs to 'defend' our season. It sits comfortably there on it's own.

Anyone not enjoyed themselves this year. Anyone not had some real corkers of memories to file away. That is what it is all about. It's been a graet season. As for the Bryco..well a cup's a cup!

actually tossmunch what he said is the truth. People like you and tara act like Slough should still be a conference side. Well here's a news flash we ain't, so f*ck off to Stamford Bridge

I'll go when you grow up,so won't be going yet awhile!!! I have become somewhat bored now, so won't be replying to any more of your abuse, so until the next match, baby milk alround.

Why can't you answer simply questions Optimisitc? I can't understand your point of view unless you say what you expected. I really is very tedious when you/tara/anontosspot comes on here after every defeat spouting the same old nonsense. The reason I am happy with the season is because at the begining I would have taken a mid-table finish with a good cup run. We have had three good cup runs (which is undeniable given our status in the pyramid) and if we collect reasonable points from our games in hand we will sit comfortably mid-table (again undeniably true).

If you can construct a logic argument for your constant "not good enough" jibes you are more likely to gain respect on this board. Otherwise you deserve the abuse you get.

You have got to remember this is a forum for those that support the team.

Staines, Crispy I appreciate your frustration at the anons. But explain to me how if we make it registration only Optimisitc et al will be any different? Optimistic will just register as such. We still will not know who he/she is and I don't really see how that will alter their views.

I agree with Martin It hasn't stop a [****!!****] like me so why will it stop others posting what they like?

Set up your own message board with no anons...it'll be boring as a Windsor match
