Felt really sorry for Roy today.

Anyone know what he's done and how long he's going to be out - Although he hasn't been a regular scorer this season, he's gettin his form back and we're going to need him for the matches coming up

Get well soon - be back for the quarters at least!!

At the moment, I am sure no-one knows what injury, but if it is serious I am sure Dave Holden will be on the case. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

We can't be too sure that Roy's form has returned through one goal though. I also follow Chelsea, but watch the Fleet all the time, and Adrian Mutu's bad form didn't end last season by just scoring one goal. It is certainly a start though. Back to the injury, I hope its not serious.

Yes, it still seems to me that Pinnock is not a striker, but a midfielder. I was extremely glad to see it was Manny, not Pinnock, running at the keeper at 2-2 and, sure enough, he pulled us clear! I have to say it looks hard to fit Pinns into the team anywhere as things stand and perhaps a foray into the transfer market is needed...

This is certainly a common occurrence - Pinno does indeed seem to pick the ball up, run away from goal and lay it back into the midfield an awful lot.

The dilemmas have already been outlined above - midfield is more his domain it would appear, but where would you fit him in? He's undoubtedly made some important contributions to the team - he was very impressive in the second half in the thrashing of Morecambe, and his excellent volleyed goal at Farnborough also springs to mind. But if Roy is out injured for any considerable length of time, I can't see a forward partnership between Manny and Pinno being particularly fruitful.

I agree that Pinno doesn't really seem to have that goal instict, hes only scored twice this season, one of which was in the KSC. I would say give him a chance in midfield as he may do well there, but with Saunders and Maccas currently looking formidable in the centre of the park I can't see him getting a chance there. Despite what Liam Daish said about wanting to give all the team their fair chance, we really need more cover up front still. Roy going off brought that concern up again really.
