Des was a year below me, lived just round the corner from me.

Economics teacher was Polish who went under the name of Jakobowski (or similar spelling) who had a brummie accent was a big Villa supporter and completely barking mad!!
Top bloke & top teacher, real old school style, you know the sort, strict & fair who earned our respect, unlike most of the wet PC efforts that had just started flooding secondry schools back then & have now taken over.
