Weston game...

Decent enough game but big let down when you are winning and concede late on-Margate marginally the better side but did not look threatening, and draw just about fair result.

First half -'neutral sparring',albeit we kept giving away free kicks 4o yards out and put ourselves under pressure.

Clarke and Rocky looked in a different class to everyone else,(both faded in second half, although Clarke had nasty injury just before halftime but seemed to recover) and we were playing neatly but did not really threaten albeit Che went quite close, and shortly after got booked for handbags .

Weston scored after ball not cleared first time from a free kick or corner and Cowe had straitforward shot.

Stroke of half time-equaliser-good work by Rocky on left hand side of box, pulled it across and Che tapped in.

Che played deep but did well on a few occasions to be up with the play for half chances.Could have done a bit better with one earlier similar chance

Under a bit of pressure for first 20 mins of second half.

Then won freekick on edge of D .Three lined up and sure it was Greg who beat a five man wall with a stunning curled free kick into top corner(looking forward to hearing about it from the 30 Gate fans behind the goal.Looked brilliant effort from afar.

Gate looked fairly secure for next 15 mins, but then increasingly under pressure from corners and free kicks.

Almost got a third when 3 Gate players beat offside trap but could not take advantage

Moses gets deservedly booked for nasty foul.

CK makes good subs one thinks, bringing on additional height in Darren and Barnett.

BUT-another corner, pingpong in the box and scrambled in.

Mega disappointment.

Nothing much else happens and game seems to end on exactly 90 mins.

Everyone played ok and after first 25 mins when Rocky and Clarke look like they should be in premiership,no-one really shined but all did ok.

All faded/tired a bit in second half

Greg looked fit for the full 90 mins.

Green and Gradley there-Gradley not a sub but did warm up and looked reasonably fit

Margate definately the more skillful side but lacked real threat in attack Defence just about coped today, but look very susceptible to pace and aerial threat.Fortunately WsM did'nt really have either in attack apart from when their defenders came up for set pieces.

Disappointing not to get all 3 points, but probably reasonably fair result.

Decent result and our good run of league form continues but disappointing to hear we conceded from a corner yet again. Were there any injuries as both subs were used and CK said on Radio Kent there were some limping off at the end. Probably could do without the Cray game on Tuesday as the transfer embargo still has to be lifted (why????)Still very tight between a number of clubs trying to avoid the drop. Next weeks game v St Albans very crucial. See they lost 1-5 today. Hope to be there to give Roddis some verbal.

Alex limping post match but did not look too bad.

Clarke seemed ok but after looking good in first half and then fading, do wonder if he was injured .Was a nasty foul on him.

The subs looked more tactical especially Moses as frankly he could easily have been sent off.

Difficult to chose m of m.

Probably Greg as he did some decent overlapping, and it really was a world class goal-better than Beckham.

JK never put a foot wrong either although not as dominating as in previous matches in defence;but that is really a sign that Bill Edwards had a better game.

Their goal was not from headers as previously, but could not get the ball clear on both occasions.

Agree we could really do without the Cray game.

Patch up and mend i guess ,but yep-next saturday is the BIG ONE.

Can't we sign up some schoolkids and play them Tuesday night. What about some 'work experience' guys-or even girls-it is so vital that we keep in this league and sooner or later the patch up and mend policy will come apart at the seams.

In the meantime, admire all the players for keeping going

I was behind the goal and there is no doubt that Greg's free kick definately hit the shoulder of a defender in the wall. It was on target in any event though.

We could have had some good chances near the end of the game, but got a bit sloppy in the final third.
