I agree with Crispy about people moaning about the bloody officials all the time..

I thought we played well and deserved a draw and am gutted the run is over. Really good to have all us Rebels in one place, even tho it was freezing, great turn out, good laugh in the pub beforehand, well done to the players.

Now let's win some league games!

I think all our strikers are good enough, but i've said it before and will say it again they are all carbon copies of each other. That sometimes does not cause defences as much problems as they are use to having a pacey striker and a targetman. Hopefully Dann Cann can be that pacey striker as he is different to the others.

 

As for left-wing back. I think Michael Murphy does a decent job there and left-wing backs are hard to come accross, but I think we still need him at the back with his pace. And although a replacement for Alex will be V Hard to find I don't think Murph offers us nearly as much going forward, which is one of our strenths with Josias and Alex running down the wings in advanced positions.

 

Apparently Eddie's put in a few enquiries for left-sided players, so maybe we will hear something this week?

Smurf despeartely needs to go back into the back three as when he moves forward in the left wing back role and gets tackled/fouled/touched, he spents the next few seconds complaining instead of chasing back. He doesn't do that when playing at the back, so it doesn't cost us as much.

 

That said, still a very good player to have to play in the left wing back role whilst we look at adding to our squad.
