Well I got to Hemel and wish I hadn't though I did have a pleasant chat to a relative of Gordon Sedgeley.

 

The first half was cracking with Hemel apparently piercing through the Team Bath defence at will. They scored after about 25 minutes with a cracking shot from a very narrow angle.

 

Second half was totally different. Team Bath had substituted their centre half and the new centre seemed to have better positional sense. The two Hemel forwards were totally ineffective and the rest of the side appeared to have put lead in their boots. Number 9 (a star player apparently) was substituted for a young lightweight which made the Hemel side even worse. I felt that the number 10 was playing a worse game but there you are what do I know. Later there was another substitution to no effect.

 

With about 2 minutes to go the inevitable happened and Team Bath scored a scrappy equaliser. Straight from kick off a Hemel midfielder decided to boot the ball forward from the half way line so the Bath goalkeeper could easily collect. I felt at that time it was time to leave as I got to the half way line the ref blew for full time. At the end the crowd were calling for Nicky Ironton's blood and I can see why. Hemel for relegation this year.
