Hippocrite. I don't recall much sympathy for Rudi Hall being set up by your management team and getting a red card.

 

Have you heard the rumour that the League's Registration Secretary told a number of people at Romford, including your Manager, that Foley had already played for Burnham in the competition this season. So its not only his fault.

 

Isn't it ironic that had Town played 90 minutes with a full complememt, I doubt whether disqualification from the competition would have made any difference. Without Chopper, however, everybody would have backed you to go through. We don't have a regular back up keeper; I belive the rules would have forbidden the signing of a replacement on the day.

You can hardly condone what Rudi Hall did if you saw it clearly enough.

 

If it's only a rumour that we were told by the League (and they're not obliged to tell us if they're not asked) that he was cup-tied it's not much to go by, since anyone could say there was a rumour if it suits them - and if 'several' people were told then I'm sure it wold have been common knowledge by the time of the game that he couldn't play. Besides, no-one said it was solely Callum's fault.

 

And you could have signed a 'keeper on the day as it wasn't a semi-final or final. Shouldn't you have a reserve 'keeper signed on anyway? Seems a bit short-sighted for a club in your position.

I'm not talking about not having a bench-warmer, although even that seems to be a risk when you can name five subs. Not to have another goalkeeper even registered, that's what sounds rash. What if Chopper isn't available for the semi-final? You definitely won't be able to sign one on the day then, and whoever does play in goal will have to have played two league or league cup games by the time of the first leg.

 

And okay, my heart bleeds for poor little Rudi, the last player in the whole league who deserves to be a victim of gamesmanship when it seems to be his stock-in-trade.
