Not quite the shortest ever spell in the famous blue & yellow - his 55 minutes was beaten by Julian Edwards last season (45). Unless any of you stattos know different?

Sniffer Thorns played in goal for 5 minutes of a friendly once, conceding a rasping 45-yard shot from John Colfer.

Actually Sun King it was Stevey Clarke Clarke Clarkes Testomonial not a friendly. What happened was Thornsy shouted at Rob Howarth who was in goal at the time something which I cant remember and Rob offered the gloves to Thornsy. So Thornsy hoped over the fence and in to the goal and Rob handed him the gloves. Thornsy looking like a lemon (no offense) was standing there untill the game burst into life. Jon Colfer was running down the left wing when he took a long cross/shot along the ground (I thought it was an easy save) but to my shock horror it had trickled in to the bottom right corner of the net. Thornsy eventually gave up after 5 minutes and gave the gloves back to an amused Rob Howarth
